Alert: BLOOD TEST RESULTS DISRUPTION
Nottingham West GP Practices use Nottinghamshire University Hospitals (NUH) pathology services to complete our blood tests. Once we have taken bloods, they are sent to NUH who analyse the blood for us and send us the results.
NUH recently needed to upgrade their pathology system. Unfortunately, the change has led to severe disruption and hugely increased workload for GP practices.
Managing this work safely is having an impact on the capacity that we can provide for patient care and is affecting all GP practices in the area.
We are all working hard to get NUH to resolve these issues urgently. Please bear with us if results and services are slower than usual.
