What is Patient Partner?
- Patient Partner is an automated telephone system designed to offer patients a hassle-free way to contact the surgery.
- We are currently in the testing phase and will be initially providing routine appointments via this new booking system for those aged 16 and over.
- The system also allows patients to order repeat prescriptions.

Why are we introducing it?
- We’ve taken on board feedback from our patients about lengthy call waiting times.
- This new line enables appointment bookings through an automated system, without the wait to speak with a receptionist.
How to Use It:
- Dial our preferred Patient Partner number at 01156667082.
- Input your identifiable patient data, such as Date of Birth and your registered phone number.
- Once verified, you will be presented with options to either book appointments or order repeat prescriptions.
- Note: For repeat prescriptions, a 6-digit PIN is necessary. This combines the first and last 3 digits of your NHS Number.
- Some specialised appointments may require an additional 4-digit booking code, which will be provided when booking.
How to Retrieve Your NHS Number:
- Visit Find your NHS number – NHS for guidance if you’re unaware of your NHS number.
Registration Process:
- For appointment bookings or cancellations, there’s no need to register.
- However, registration is required for repeat prescriptions. Upon successful registration, you’ll receive a 6-digit PIN.
- We’re slowly introducing our new repeat prescription system. As it becomes available to you, we’ll inform you via text. If we don’t have your mobile number on record, please contact us to receive your PIN code.
Cancellation Procedures:
- If you wish to cancel an appointment made via Patient Partner, simply ring 01156667082 and follow the prompts for cancellation.
