Alert: *NEW TELEPHONE SYSTEM*

Our long awaited, new telephone system is, finally, going live on Thursday 8th May.
Changing a phone system in a GP practice is a huge thing and, as with all new systems, we expect some teething problems, therefore we would, kindly, ask for your patience on go live day, and for a few days afterwards, whilst all of the staff get used to the new system and any niggles with the system are ironed out.
Once we are all up to speed in the use of the new system we hope that you, as patients, will see a real benefit.

YOU SAID….WE DID!

TELEPHONE ACCESS:

You said – in the 2024, national patient survey, that it was not always easy to contact our practice on the telephone. The practice has invested in a new telephone system which will be coming soon – this will give more incoming lines to patients, call recording and a return to the queuing system, which was requested by you! We have also recruited more reception staff and are in the process of training them to take your calls with efficiency and signpost you to the most appropriate clinician, or service, to help with your health concern.

HELPFULNESS OF THE RECEPTION/ADMINISTRATION TEAM AT THIS PRACTICE:

You said – that our reception/admin team could improve in terms of helpfulness – we have taken this on board and invested in more reception staff who are in the process of signposting training and updating their knowledge to be able to provide an improved delivery of service to you all.
